Belgairn is a small hobby kennel for AKC registered Labrador Retrievers located two hours north of San Francisco, California. We focus on showing and breeding an all around Labrador Retriever that is a loving family companion, a good hunting partner, and exhibits breed type which conforms to the International Labrador (English style) and American Kennel Club standards. The foundation of our line is a combination of CH Belgairn Peekaboo JH (Peekaboo), CH Gingerbred Cutter's Delite JH (Teal), and BISS CH Weathertop El Nino (Storm). Most of the wins and titles earned by our dogs have been owner trained and handled.
If we raise a litter, the parents are certified for hip, elbow, and eye soundess through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). We also do blood panels to test the health genetics of our dogs. We are active members of the Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Club and participate in American Kennel Club Labrador Specialties and all-breed shows. Our dogs are our family pets and hunting companions. Typically one to two puppies in a litter are reserved for show homes, and the others to loving pet homes. Our pet puppies are placed with their new families on AKC Limited Registration. Puppy owners receive a packet containing copies of the following information: puppy medical record (deworming schedule and vaccine given), microchip number, puppy and parent photos, parent health clearances, parent pedigrees, parent show record, and helpful articles to raise your puppy.
