Belgairn is a small hobby kennel for AKC registered Labrador Retrievers located in Middletown, California. We are nestled at the base of Mount St. Helena, just North of the Napa Valley. We focus on breeding an all around Labrador Retriever that is a loving family companion, a good hunting partner, and exhibits breed type which conforms to the International Labrador (English style) and American Kennel Club standards. The foundation of our line is a combination of CH Belgairn Peekaboo JH (Peekaboo), CH Gingerbred Cutter's Delite JH (Teal), and BISS CH Weathertop El Nino (Storm). Most of the wins and titles earned by our dogs have been owner trained and handled.
Our breeding stock is certified for hip and elbow soundess through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Their eyes are evaluated by an ophthalmologist and listed with Canine Eye Registry Foundation (CERF). Most of our dogs also have hearts cleared by echocardiogram. We are members of the Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Club, the San Joaquin Labrador Retriever Club, and the Lake County Kennel Club of Northern California. We participate in American Kennel Club Labrador Specialties and all-breed shows, obedience & rally trials, and hunt tests. Our dogs are our family pets and hunting companions. Typically one to four puppies in a litter are reserved for show homes, and the others to loving pet homes. Our pet puppies are placed with their new families on AKC Limited Registration. Puppy owners receive a packet containing copies of the following information: puppy medical record (deworming schedule, vaccine given, and copy of veterinary litter exam report), puppy and parent photos, parent health clearances, parent pedigrees, parent show record, and helpful articles to raise your puppy.
